Product Certification and Traceability

The Operational Centre Control and Traceability Authority is responsible for the Quality and Traceability of agro food products.
The Public Control Authority (Italian acronym: APC) certifies those products characterized by regulated and voluntary quality labels.

Si.Tra, was created by ASSAM and Marche Region to assure the QM products’ traceability and re-traceability following their path from origins through processing and distribution and to inform consumers on products and processes’ relevant features.
For each entered lot of product, each operator involved in the food chain and authorized to access the Si.Tra, can input, all required data concerning raw materials and main production processes. Such data are preconditions for the products’ re-traceability in accordance to TO the requirements of art.18 of regulation n. 178 of 2002.
Recently, Si.tra has been graphically reassessed to better meet the increased demand of food transparency, quality and safety. The website illustrates the whole products’ processes from their very beginning providing information on their health and gastronomic features.
