The Agency for Agro-food Sector Services of the Marche Region (ASSAM), established by Regional Law N. 9 of 14/01/1997, is a public economic authority, regional reference and connection point between the production system and scientific research.
In collaboration with Universities and Research centres, it carries out studies and investigations within agronomic projects (cereal, wine, fruit and olive growing, horticultural, industrial crops) focusing on the biologic sector with low environmental impact. It provides certification and traceability services, analysis of agri-food products, forestry, soil management and agrometeorology.
Moreover it is responsible for the correct application of the regional phytosanitary legislation.
